New every week

What moved. Why. And what it means for your money.

One update a week across the majors — currencies, metals, indices and commodities. No breathless headlines, no predictions dressed up as certainty. Just what the data is actually saying, in plain English, and what an ordinary household should take from it.

Being worked on

The weekly market update is in production. It'll play right here as soon as the first one is live.

This Week's Market Update

The short version

Being worked on

The written version of each update lands here — the week in three or four plain-English lines, so you can catch up in ninety seconds.

“We don't predict. We react.” Why every read on this channel is an if-then, never a forecast.

How I read the week

Every update runs through the same framework, in the same order, every single time:

  • Fundamentals first. What's actually driving the currency or the asset — rates, inflation, policy, the real yield.
  • Then the book. Where the big institutional positioning sits, and which way it's moving.
  • Then the chart. The higher timeframes only. Where the levels are that matter.
  • Then the risk. What would prove the read wrong, and how I'd manage it — because that's the part most people skip.
  • Then the if-thens. Never "this is going up." Always "if we get here, then this becomes likely — and if we get there instead, the read is dead." Every call I make on the week is framed that way.

Before you watch

This is a market read, not a tip sheet.

Majors first

Australian dollar, US dollar, euro, New Zealand dollar, Swiss franc, pound — plus the futures basis. The big, liquid markets that actually move your cost of living. Minors and crosses only when they earn the time.

Jargon decoded once

Every unavoidable term gets one plain sentence the first time it appears. If you've never traded a thing in your life, you'll still follow it. That's the standard.

No calls, no signals

I'll tell you what I'm seeing and how I'm thinking about it. I won't tell you what to do — I'm not licensed to, and you shouldn't want me to.
